More than eleven centuries of coinage

The Royal Mint has struck British coins since 886 AD and today produces the Britannia range, the bullion coin and bar series we carry for UK-based collectors.

Why it matters

Some institutions do not need to prove themselves twice.

State backing, an unbroken production history, and a security-first design language make the Royal Mint's bullion some of the most trusted in the world.

From the Tower of London to Llantrisant

The Mint operated from the Tower of London for over 500 years before relocating to Wales in 1968. The Royal Mint Refinery brand, first established in 1852, was revived in 2015 for its modern bullion bar range.
